Now that I'm allergic to soy, I think my burrito eating days are done. I cannot find a single tortilla anywhere that isn't made with soy flour or soy oil.

Sun, January 6, 2008 - 11:51 AMI have the same problem. My sister is a nutritionist and says that most people are only allergic to the soy protein. So things like soy lethicin aren't a problem (emulsifier in chocolate). Yep, you gotta stay away from soy flour, but most likely not vegetable oil (usually soy bean oil). And FYI hydrogenated vegetable protein is usually soy. No more Hebrew National Hot Dogs.
